The Story

Legendary Performance.
Modern Build.

The HydroStream HST has always occupied a unique space in performance boating. Its 20-foot Air-Entrapment Tunnel (AT) trimaran hull was engineered for high speed, exceptional cornering, and a stability that made it unforgettable on the water.

Those design goals haven't changed. The hull doesn't need reinventing. What has changed is how it's built. The new HST is constructed entirely from modern composite materials — no wood, no structural core that absorbs moisture, no rotten floor or stringers. Just rigid, long-lasting composite that will hold its structural integrity for decades.

The personality that made the HST famous is intact — responsive, fast, and remarkably stable for its size. Whether you're running high-speed setups, pulling skiers, or cruising open water, the HST delivers.

HST
What Sets It Apart

Built Different.
In Every Way.

01 📐

All-Composite Hull

Zero wood. Zero moisture ingress. The new HST uses modern lamination techniques throughout — hull, floor, stringers, and deck. Built to outlast the originals by decades.

02 ⚖️

~700 lb Bare Hull

Lighter than the original without sacrificing an ounce of rigidity. The composite layup is structurally stronger and more predictable at speed than legacy construction.

03 🔺

Air-Entrapment Tunnel Design

The AT trimaran hull traps air between the center pod and outer sponsons, generating lift and reducing wetted surface at speed — delivering exceptional stability and cornering precision.

04 🏁

Proven at Speed

The HST hull has been running hard since 1988. The geometry that made it a legend — the cornering, the lift, the composure in chop — remains unchanged in the new build.

05 🛥️

Versatile by Design

Equally at home as a ski boat, a lake runner, or a performance cruiser. The HST's wide speed window means it's genuinely fun at 40 mph and absolutely relentless at 80+.

06 🏭

Factory Backed

Produced by the revived HydroStream brand with over 50 years of lineage. Every hull is built to strict quality standards.

Hull Architecture

The AT Trimaran
Explained

The Air-Entrapment Tunnel (AT) design traps air between the center pod and two outer sponsons as the hull comes up to speed. That trapped air reduces wetted surface, cuts drag, and provides a stable lifting platform — enabling exceptional cornering and high-speed stability that most hull designs can't approach. The deck was also specifically designed to keep the bow down aerodynamically at higher speeds.

Why
The
HST?

All Composite Build

Traditional performance boats relied on wood cores, floors, and stringers — materials that absorb water, rot, and degrade over time. The HST uses none. Full composite means it stays lighter, stiffer, and faster for the life of the boat.

Proven Hull DNA

This AT geometry has been running hard since 1988. The air-entrapment tunnel design isn't experimental — it's a proven platform.

Performance Investment

All-composite construction doesn't just perform better — it holds value better. No hidden rot, no structural degradation over time. The HST is built to remain structurally sound and desirable for decades, protecting your investment and your resale.

Limited Production

HydroStream builds to order, not to inventory. You're not getting a warehouse boat — you're getting a purpose-built machine.

50+

Years of HydroStream Performance Heritage

HydroStream launched in the early 1970s and built a devoted following of performance boaters who recognized that the air-entrapment was something genuinely different. Decades later, the name carries the same weight — and the new HST is built to honor every bit of it.
